I recently received a new diagnosis. I now have been officially diagnosed with orthostatic hypertension.
ORIGINAL INTERIVEW ON 12/22/2022:
Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?
I was very active. I backpacked, bikepacked, lifted weights, hiked and was very into health and nutrition.
Q: Would you like to share your reasons for getting vaccinated?
I trusted the science.
Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?
On 12/23/20, I got my Moderna vaccine. I worked in a hospital, and I was scared of taking covid to my family. Plus, I knew they would require it eventually. I’ve always had issues with my mandatory flu vaccine, causing pain and fibromyalgia, but nothing like this. I immediately had a metal taste in my mouth. Then, I had big spikes in my heart rate and rapid heart rate for 2 days. On the third day, I was jogging on the treadmill, and my feet started to go numb. I called my husband, because it was so odd. Over the next few weeks I would go numb from my feet to my head. I tried to work and was falling over at work. I was told to go to the ER, but I knew covid was really bad in the ER, so I didn’t want to go. I could barely walk, my legs were so heavy. I couldn’t hold up a coffee cup, and I even ended up wearing a neck brace, because I couldn’t hold up my head. I had zaps in my head that woke me up multiple times during the night with flashes of light. It took a while to get in to see a neurologist.
By then I could walk, but it was still difficult. My neurologist was amazing. She had suspected transverse myelitis, but there were no lesions on my MRI. After the numbness faded, I had severe nerve pain, deep into my bones. It was unbearable. I had tremors and what felt like a big rubber band around my right thigh above my knee. I was diagnosed with extensive damage to my small fibers, small fiber neuropathy. Later I would be tested for POTS and dysautonomia but was diagnosed with paroxysmal tachycardia. I have chest pain still and can no longer live an active lifestyle. I use low dose naltrexone for the nerve pain, and it’s been a miracle for me. I never wanted to take pain meds, but the pain was so severe. I also have some cancer markers, high kappa lambda ratio, high kappa in my blood and urine and large amounts of protein in my urine. I’m being monitored by a hematologist oncologist for that. I am blessed to have a job that gave me an exemption (finally), so I don’t have to take any more vaccines. My job has been patient with me and allows me to work hard but also rest when I need to. It’s been 2 years, and I’m still suffering. I miss exercise so much. I started cardiac rehab. I also have tinnitus which came back after a treatment I tried that didn’t work. So far, low dose Naltrexone has been the best thing for me.
Q: Was your reaction reported, and what was the response?
VAERS
Q: Are there any treatments we should know about that helped or hurt your health?
Low dose naltrexone really helps the pain.
Q: Have you had Covid before?
No, I had an antibody test before my vaccine. I had never had covid before. www.realnotrare.com
