Tipsters could be eligible for a cash reward

The Pennsylvania State Police Media station is asking for the public’s assistance in the early Saturday shooting death of a motorist on Interstate 95 in Upper Chichester.

Tips to the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers could be eligible for a cash reward of $10,000 if the information helps solve the case.

The shooting killed a 41-year-old Brookhaven man  who was traveling on Interstate 95 about 1:22 a.m. Saturday morning.

A second person was also shot but survived. That person, a 42-year-old Chester man, was taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland with multiple gunshot wounds, troopers said.

Troopers were called to the northbound lanes at mile marker 1.6 for a Red Jeep Grand Cherokee in the center median, with the victims in it.

The northbound lanes were closed for several hours during the investigation.

Troopers are asking any witnesses to the shooting incident or any motorists who may have been in the area and have dash cam video to contact them.

Tipsters should call the PSP Media at 484-840-1000 or anonymously contact the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers Toll Free at 1-800-4PA-TIPS (8477) or online at www.p3tips.com/tipform.aspx?ID=107.

All callers to Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest, the solving of a crime/cold case or the location of a wanted person/fugitive or missing person.
